My Take on Carolina Athletics

Ok, so I may catch heck for this, but so what? For all of the Carolina fans giving Duke a hard time about the Kansas game, Carolina would have probably lost too. The basketball team is pretty good this year, but not great. Not like so many years in the past. If Hairston plays again this year, they may be great, but until then they are good. I really wish someone would decide SOMETHING on Hairston, because I'm tired of hearing about him and he did himself in whatever punishment he gets.
As for football...I feel the team is in good shape. Fedora is a great coach and can lead this team to big things in the future. He kept them up after a tough start to the season and I tip my hat to him and the players for that. A successful season can be a 12-0 season, but it can also be overcoming adversity (like a slow start to the year) and playing your rear ends off the rest of the season. The Heels will have 2 or 3 awesome QB's next year and a much improved defense. The freshmen on the team look really good too.
Ok, that's my 2 cents worth. GO HEELS!

As far as basketball goes I think both Duke and Carolina have the potential to be great teams this year. Let's face it both Duke and Carolina are almost always a contender when you’re talking championships. (ACC and National) Will either of them see it this year; it's way too early in the year for either the dark side or the lighter blue fans to make any claims.
For football, let us not forget that Fedora stepped into a nice sized heap when he came to Carolina, with all the controversy that surrounded CAROLINA football at the time. Yes, they came up short early in the season, and are trying to make up for it now. As long as Fedora sticks around for a couple more years I think we will see way more promising seasons from start to finish. Whether or not we want to face it or not Cutcliff @ Duke is doing good thing with their program and no doubt will continue to for a few years to come.

Still some real unc fans left out there :) UNC has a chance but the off the court antics of PJ and Mcdonald will make the process of turning a team great very hard. Wish them the ebst, dont like excuses when duke and unc play each other :)

UNC fans are not the ones proclaiming that their team has no weaknesses like many Dook fans are.
That is the difference.
