They won't miss one second more than the NCAA forces them to. But ol' Roy will make them run their dadgum tails off. If the NCAA ruled they could start playing tomorrow they would be headed north just as fast as Fats could call Hertz.

Schools do but not the $1500 kind.

Yes they do. However, unc did not issue that particular mouthguard to McDonald and stated as such. The guards the team wear come from the unc dental school and are not high-end designer equipment used to promote the maker of the product. I agree with the 2/3 game punishment(if that) unless he was payed.

Are there no other players on UNC's team? Roy should be concerned with survival of the season and search for ways the remaining elligible players can be "the team" instead of holding positions for Bevis and Butthead.

Re the mouthguard thing: Doesn't the school furnish players with mouthguards, the same way they furnish helmets, pads, uniforms, shoes, etc.?

Why are pansies so afraid of THE TRUTH, of all things?
kato_karma2.8 Nov 22, 9:45 a.m.
they are still afraid of Tyler.

Why are dookies so afraid of Leslie McDonald, of all players?
BlueDeviIs00 Nov 22, 8:34 a.m.
On Leslie -- I thought he would get 3-5 games maximum. It's an interesting case though. He did post pictures of himself in a luxury car (can't remember if it was a Benz, BMW or whatever), tweeted about a cell phone FATZ gave him, and was clearly involved in the mouthguard fiasco and even promoted on ICEBERGZ webpage.
If the NCAA can establish he was driving the rental vehicles, was given free mouthguards (some of which cost $500+), and also given free cell phones -- that could be plenty to rule him permanently ineligible.
Maybe this Leslie case was more serious than we thought. PJ's got all the attention because he was committing crimes and Leslie wasn't. But in the eyes of the NCAA, free stuff can be just as illegal.
