This is ridiculous. The Midwest is by FAR the easiest region. UNC won't get challenged until they play Kansas/NCSU in the Elite 8. The committee obviously wanted a Kansas/UNC game, as well as Duke/Kentucky. The thing is, Kentucky is MUCH better than Kansas. Baylor isn't bad, either.

All regions have tough teams. Winning the first one, and then the second one. There is a lot of pariety when the NCAA starts. If you have a top 1, 2,3, seed, then you see that these guys can rest a little against some teams. But, you have to bring it each night, and start hard to put them away early. Duke has in the past been given some decent Regions. I don't know this year.

I've actually got Baylor coming out of the duke region.

Duke has to play smart after the first game. They need to get the inside scoring against the top teams. If they can get to game three, they will be doing just fine. If the 3 ball is off, then Duke will not survive.

UNC will be challenged plenty by the Creighton/Alabama winner. Some pundit who has a special "formula" has Carolina losing Friday - a 1-seed losing to a 16! While I don't believe that, I do believe Carolina will be tested in their second game. Two games later, if they're still playing, they get Kansas. I agree that Kentucky is tougher than Kansas, and Baylor is no walk in the park. In the end it doesn't matter what we think - we have to play whoever is in our bracket.

Totally true RX74... When you see that some teams can hit obove 50% with the 3'rs like UNC did against Duke, and exactly like FSU did against UNC, then we know the rest of the story. I hope that UNC and Duke..especially go deep. They are the only ACC teams with a solid chance to bring home the most coveted prize in all of Division I basketball. Better than the Super Bowl 10X's over.

As one sports writer said The Devils couldn't have gotten a greater gift from the committee if the entire tournament were moved to Cameron Indoor Stadium.

Atleast when we won ours last year, we earned it.

No doubt the tables have turned. Duke is in the toughest bracket this year and UNC has the easiest. That is until Kansas if we get there. But you have to play tough teams to win a natty so big deal. So, I agree. UNC definitely got the Duke bracket this year.
