If UNC loses scholarships and players are allowed to transfer I think that ECU and NCSU as well as other ACC teams might be picking some of these guys up after the NCAA sanctions go into effect.- Posted by tcoutouzis

We can and do recruit and we do it without paying our players.
If I remember correctly we have beat you each of the past 3 years.

They think we are worried some more players will be cleared before NCSU plays them. They were ALL cleared last year and we had no problems....

But boy it would be nice to have some of that UNC talent so you can make it to a bowl for a change. Don't kid yourself, State fans like TBK and many many others are licking their chops because they're hoping this gives them a recruiting edge over UNC. Just like UNC fans are hoping that it won't hurt us because we know our advantage has been the ability to recruit better talent than State and ECU.

THE ONLY REASON UNC EVEN HAD THE NFL TYPE TALENT ON THEIR TEAM WAS BC THEY WERE RECEIVING BENEFITS TO GO TO UNC.That's what i don't understand about these UNC fans. They wouldn't have recruit the players they did without John Blake and his "personal loans" from his "personal friend" Gary Wichard. All those players who would have been top 20 picks in the NFL draft wouldn't have stayed. This ALL STAR UNC defensive squad would have never existed...

No offense to you, but you would never have had those recruits if it wasn't for the head of UNC football recruiting John Blake and his lack of integrity. He went after players with low moral character because they bit on the fame and fortune he offered him. They may be good players, but they don't have good morals. That is the type of player he recruited and it is a reflection on the head coach too.
There is also another reason you guys get better recruits than ECU. It is because of the BCS label that you guys are under. A 5 star recruit will pick a team from a BCS conference to play for because they will be able to play in a major bowl if they win the conference or a national championship. Non-AQ's don't get that benefit. So if you were a 3-5 star recruit, would you go play at a NON-AQ school?

Of course they will either say "great,we want him there", or they will continue to look for more evidence he is guilty...so far he has taken the hits and kept on ticking. But what would worry me the most is if the coach stays. Coaches build programs...players don't, even though they can turn games or screw up. We'll see, but don't let them fool you...they are worried, while claiming hilarity...whistling in the graveyard.No, jackhole, they are not and even when they were, they didn't "escort" recruits around campus. The recent incarnation (whose name escapes me, I believe it's the Carolina Blues) is co-ed, and basically a "pep-squad" type of club that helps rally students at games.
Again, catch up. (It's not just something you put on your eggs).
Russell is amazing, but you're an id!ot if you think that he's the only talent we have on our team. I'm not worried one bit about UNC. You claim such awesome recruiting skills, but Black Santa is gone now, and once the sanctions start coming down from the NCAA, alot of the verbals to UNC will start to head in other directions.
