Former UNC football player and current South Carolina athletic director Eric Hyman will remain in Columbia despite interest from his alma mater.
In a statement Hyman says, “I am honored to be considered by my alma mater, North Carolina, but my work here has not been finished and I love being a Gamecock.”

OK, State stinks in football, and I'm not motivated today. You win.

As a State grad/fan, I understand the rejection reactions. We got much the same treatment in looking for our HC in basketball. Good luck UNC in finding the right fit for this important position. I also agree that the person may not be finalized prior to the Oct. NCAA hearing. Time will tell.

Todd Turner is the logical choice.

He thinks he will move on...but oh yea, he has to get his 15-20 posts on what he thinks is a non-story

RE: Hyman to remain at South Carolina
Sounds reasonable. I didn't realize the call/interview was so far back.
Although, the U-SC investigation has been going on for a number of months, too. It just wasn't common public knowledge until recently.
But this is looking more and more like a non-story. Think I'll move on now.

RE: Hyman to remain at South Carolina
When it happens vs. when it's reported/leaked out. The USC charges just came out and USC paid him to keep him on board to wrestle with the NCAA. Again, Hyman is really a standup guy (according to several Wolfpack friends) and I don't think he could leave USC in the pickle they are in and maintain professional credibility. Gotta stick to your post when the heat is on.
