Greensboro, N.C. — North Carolina wide receiver Todd Harrelson is no longer with the Tar Heel football team, head coach Larry Fedora said Monday.
Fedora said Harrelson violated team rules and would not play his last year of eligibility year with the team.
Harrelson was previously suspended for two games in September for a violation of team rules. At the time the school said that it was not related to the NCAA and school investigation into academic fraud and improper benefits received.
Following the 2011 season, former UNC interim head coach Everett Withers announced Harrelson intended to transfer. Harrelson decided to stay after Fedora was hired.
Harrelson recorded three catches while at Carolina, one being a 28-yard reception in the final minute of regulation during the Music City Bowl in 2010.

Now packfan, you know they don't deal with truths very well :)- Posted by packfan07State also holds a seven streak when Dick Sheridan was coach.- Posted by BeastOnTheHillI'm sure that there are many players who know what it's like to beat state at basketball or baseball. The 5 game football streak still doesn't top the 7 game streaks the Heels have enjoyed in the past on the gridiron.Another Player goes out without knowing what it's like to beat State.- Posted by packfan07
