North Carolina’s exhibition basketball game with Pembroke has been set for 5:30 p.m. on Saturday in the Smith Center, the school announced Monday.

The men’s basketball game will follow Saturday’s noon football kickoff between Carolina and Georgia Tech. That game will be televised on WRAL. This weekend is homecoming for UNC.

The time of the UNC football game at Maryland has been set for 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 15. That game will conflict with the UNC season opener in basketball against Penn at 4 p.m. on Nov. 15 in the Smith Center.

It's bad when the photo associated with your opening game is of two players (I guess they're players) engaged in a thuggish-ruggish dance as opposed to students playing hoops.
