UNC's Davis: Too early to say who has the best program

North Carolina coach Butch Davis isn’t rushing to agree with Tom O’Brien, his colleague at N.C. State, that the Wolfpack is the best football program in the state.
State crushed Carolina 41-10 Saturday in Kenan Stadium, and afterward O’Brien NCSU was the best program in the state “without question.”
Davis was asked to respond at his news conference Monday.
“Last Saturday, they were the best football team, there’s no question about that,” Davis said. “But before anybody anoints themselves, I’d say there probably needs to be some time invested into the programs, and then we’ll see what happens.”
O'Brien didn't back down from his comment on Monday, calling it "a statement of fact."
