Charlotte, N.C. — Fewer than 10,000 tickets are still available for the 2008 Meineke Car Care Bowl, bowl officials said Friday afternoon. More than 63,000 tickets have already been sold for this year’s game between North Carolina and the West Virginia.

The game is Saturday, Dec. 27, at Bank of America Stadium with a 1 p.m. kickoff. It will be televised nationally on ESPN.

“The buzz surrounding tickets for this year’s game has been extraordinary,” Will Webb, executive director of the bowl, said in a statement. “North Carolina and West Virginia fans are really going to make this a fun, festive football experience.”

Remaining tickets for the game are available through TicketMaster and the participating schools. Upper-level seats begin at $30.

The Meineke Car Care Bowl has averaged over 60,000 fans during its first six years, with two sellouts.

UNC played in the 2004 game, losing to Boston College, 37-24.

You're a bigger dummy than I thought originally if you still think stadium capacity is the difference. Like I said, you cannot fill what you've got. There's a reason you built the stadium to it's current capacity. You cannot fill more seats with any regularity.
