By Ryan Craig Jan 11, 2009
Wake Forest is under the radar no more. The Demon Deacons put themselves on the national map with their 92-89 win over North Carolina Sunday night.
Jeff Teague made a strong case for All-ACC first team accolades with a 34-point performance, while Chas McFarland added 20 points and 9 rebounds for the home team.
Danny Green did all he could for the Heels, posting 22 points, 6 rebounds and 5 steals before fouling out in the game's final minute.

Wow...how sad to see so many throwing UNC under the bus....these boards sang a different tune when they were beatign teams by 30-40 points. Yes, we've been exposed but dont be foolish to think that other teams dont have their time coming because they do. Wake is good, no question but so is Carolina!!! They've been off their game for 3 games now, and its cost us 2 losses....time will tell...

Wake just wanted the game more than carolina. Here's what I ? Why didn't they keep feeding Green when he was hot?Near the end of the game they shoulda feed Ellington more instead of Tyler and Graves takeing the shot.Wake outplayed, out hustled, out coached,us tonite.Congrat's to Wake Forest for a job well done.As for my Heels time to wake up,"PLAY TIME IS OVER".Get focused UVA on thursday and road games against State and Duke coming up.
Cupcake schedule leads to...

"and dook just sucks."
right...i know that was just outta anger so we'll all forgive you. but back to the topic at hand...wow! maybe now all the hole fans who continue to put down Duke WINS will now be concerned with their own team and their problems. unc is a good team but they're just defensively challenged. they're not gonna just outscore all of their opponents. and this loss to wake was no fluke. wake has a great team and will be up at the top of the acc for at least the next few seasons. the good news for unc is that they don't play wake again...Duke on the other hand has a home and home with them. the acc is gonna be brutal this year.
Typical...
"State is a big joke and dook just sucks. "
As usual, unc fans attempt to divert the negative attention somewhere else..funny.
