Hansbrough has braces put on loosened tooth

The contact loosened Hansbrough's front tooth and forced him to finish the game wearing a mouth guard.

Tyler Hansbrough has had braces put on the front tooth that was loosened in Wednesday’s basketball game against Clemson, a North Carolina spokesman said Thursday.

Hansbrough had the braces put on the loose front tooth and the adjacent teeth for stability, said UNC’s Matt Bowers.

The braces will be re-evaluated in a week. Carolina doesn’t have another game until playing at Florida State on Jan. 28.

Hansbrough was hit accidently by Clemson's Jerai Grant.

Henderson is a thug

When Henderson hit Tyler it was not a basketball move. You will never see another player swing his elbow down at another player like that again in a game. Someone should have gone out and shot that sob.

The vast majority of those sports fans (outside of the Dean Dome) saw no malicious intent with Henderson's contact with HansFlop...or actually HansTravel if you wish to watch Bobby Knight's current analysis on ESPN.

But just like Coach K's back, Laettner's "stomp," and much more, the legend and Duke hatred lives on in Chapel Hill to include those folks who never were even around when the events actually occurred.

It's like the frequent unc comments about "shoots too many free throws" and "owns the refs" have now quieted considerably, since #50 in the powder blue gets MOST of his points at the free throw line.

And, of course, your screen name shows a bit of bias to the actual facts.

How does dook get away from all those hand checks? Paulas plays defense by bumping into players and using his hands all over the other guy. I don't know why the refs don't call it.

He did intentionally try to foul him and in his zeal, swung down and broke Tyler's nose. I don't believe he was trying to hurt him that badly, but he was trying to foul him as hard as he could. No one blocks a shot with a forearm shiver. He knew what he was doing and paid for it with an ejection and a suspension.

You have it backwards. Almost EVERYONE in the country, except dookies and that idiot Billy Packer, saw it for what it was - intentional and malicious.

And, Hansbrough gets most of his points at the free throw line because he is fouled on almost every possession. He shoots about 1/3 the number of foul shots that he should.

If you noticed in the Bobby Knight analysis, he pointed out that a large number of players (Blake Griffin of Oklahoma being one) get away with traveling. I am sure you noticed that since you weren't wearing any glasses that would taint your opinion. He was actually criticizing the officials, not Hansbrough, you moron!!
