North Carolina
Zeller will play against N.C. State
By Dane Huffman Feb 18, 2009
North Carolina freshman Tyler Zeller, who suffered a fractured wrist earlier in the season, will play tonight against N.C. State, UNC confirmed Wednesday afternoon.
Zeller, a 7-foot freshman, will lose a year of eligibility but could greatly enhance a UNC bench that has not been as deep as expected this year. The Heels have been without senior Marcus Ginyard, who had surgery on his left foot in October, and Zeller, who suffered the broken wrist against Kentucky Nov. 18.
Ginyard will redshirt this season and not return.
Carolina plays N.C. State at 8 p.m. at the Smith Center.

Well. Coach Roy is thinking in the now. I don't blame him. He is going to lose some key players at the end of the year. You better win now. He always signs national players anyway.

Well, I'm glad he's well enough to play but the team has had really good chemistry going on for the last 9 games. Last year when Lawson came back it took a few games for the team to get back into a good flow..I hope they EASE Zeller back in..Thompson has really picked up his game the last couple of weeks and Hansborough is, well, always good. But I'm kind of glad they aren't going to red shirt him because he'll be in the NBA before he's ever a senior anyways...might as well use him while they can!
