Key UNC blockers listed as probable for Va. Tech

Guard Jonathan Cooper, center Lowell Dyer, tackle Kyle Jolly and tight end Zack Pianalto are all listed as probable for North Carolina’s game at Virginia Tech Thursday night.

Carolina’s line has been thinned by injuries all season, and the Tar Heels face a rugged defense in Blacksburg.

Having Cooper (ankle), Dyer (shoulder), Jolly (ankle) and Pianalto (concussion) available would be a huge boost for UNC.

Also listed as probable are defensive end E.J. Wilson (thigh), linebacker Linwan Euwall (ankle) and running back Devon Ramsay (knee).

Listed as questionable are receiver Joshua Adams (shoulder) and center Cam Holland (shoulder).

Listed as doubtful are defensive back Jordan Hemby (concussion) and tight end Ryan Taylor (knee).

Out for the game are: quarterback A.J. Blue (knee), tackle Carl Gaskins (knee), safety Matt Merletti (knee), snapper Trevor Stuart (knee) and tailback Jamal Womble (wrist).

Maybe you should also take note of what Carolina did to the acc's BEST offense for an entire half last Thursday, as well.

I'm a State fan, and staunch ABC'er. But I believe Carolina's coaches did call off the dogs on defense a little bit. I'm stopping short of calling it "prevent defense", because they didn't go THAT far. But I think they were more conservative, hoping not to get burned. And that is exactly what happened.

Oh no, TBK is casting his vote for us, run for cover:p. all joking aside, i think it would be a great boost for the team and the fans if we did somehow pull off this win. if the OL that is back from injuries is at least somewhat fresh, and our D doesnt collapse like they seemingly did in the FSU game, i predict it to be a lot closer than all the analysts and haters think.
