Roy Williams has shoulder surgery

Chapel Hill, N.C. — Carolina basketball coach Roy Williams underwent surgery Tuesday morning at UNC Hospitals to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder, an injury he suffered in early October when he slipped on a wet step at a local golf course during a charity event.
The 90-minute surgery was deemed a success and Williams returned home later in the day. He expects to return to work later this week and should be on the bench Sunday when the Tar Heels play host to the University of Nevada.
A win would be the 600th in Roy Williams' career.
Williams will wear a sling on his left arm for approximately four weeks with rehabilitation expected to last several months.
The Tar Heels did not practice Tuesday and assistant coach Steve Robinson sat in for Williams during the head coach’s weekly radio show.

Geez, I'm almost afraid to post on this site after some of these comments, but here's another pack fan hoping Roy has a complete and speedy recovery.

This Heels fan thanks you for your kind wishes. I know what you mean about some of these posts though. I hope and pray that Coach Bible has a speedy recovery. His illness puts everything into perspective - they
are only games, what Coach Bible is going through is for real and I wish him Godspeed in his recovery.

WELL HERE IS MY TAKE!!! WHEN COACH K HAD BACK SURGERY ROY MADE A COMMENT AFTER HE WON THE TITLE IN 05 AND SAID NEXT YEAR I MAYBE I WILL FAKE A BACK INJURY NEXT YEAR WHEN WE ARENT THAT GOOD. SO ROY FU I HOPE IT FALLS THE YOU KNOW WHAT OFF!!!! THEN TAKE THE YEAR OFF BOY!!!

Roy Williams is a person FIRST and then Carolina's coach.
I think some people seem to have forgotten that.
