Carolina F Graves has surgery on right ankle

Posted June 11, 2010

North Carolina senior forward Will Graves is recovering from arthroscopic surgery on his right ankle.

The school announced Friday that Graves had the procedure Wednesday to clean out scar tissue. He's expected to be able to return to the court in four to six weeks.

Graves missed a game early last season with a sprained right ankle.

The Greensboro, N.C., native started 34 of 36 games last season. He averaged 9.8 points and 4.6 rebounds and had a team-high 73 3-point field goals.

Graves closed the season with seven 3s and a career-high 25 points in the Tar Heels' loss to Dayton in the NIT championship game.

Sorry, but I don't see him coming close to being drafted. He's one dimensional, and has a good shooting game maybe once every 6-8 games.

hey, i have nothing against graves, but facts are facts. he is a good "open" 3pt shooter, but he`s not much of a ball handler so taking the ball to the rack isnt a strong suit of his. they`ll be nights i think he hits some big 3s for us, but thats about it.
