Local collegiate national champions to be honored at White House

Three local college championship teams will be honored by President Obama at the White House on Monday, Sept. 13. The Duke Men’s Lacrosse team, UNC-CH’s Field Hockey team and the UNC-CH Women’s soccer team who all won NCAA national championships for the 2009-10 season.
The President will welcome the student athletes along with dozens of other schools and various sports to congratulate them on their accomplishments in the classroom as well as on and off the playing field.
President Obama will address the NCAA champion student athletes at 5:45 p.m.

I'm glad our President, in the midst of a failing nation, takes the time to stick his nose into so many sport-related events. He is a terrible President but a good speaker. Maybe he should have another interview on his basketball court behind the WH. Or maybe he should broadcast another vacation he is taking. Or maybe he can continue to blame all problems on anything but himself. The only thing he is good at is vacation and bracketology, and someone else probably does the latter for him and he just talks about it on ESPN.

When is the last time an NC ST national championship team was honored at the White House?
