Listen live on 99.9FM The Fan ESPN Radio.

The Heels have several verbal commits for the 2011 class: offensive tackle Kiaro Holts, middle linebacker Travis Hughes, outside linebacker Norkeithus Otis, tight end Eric Ebron, tight end Jack Tabb, offensive guard Jarrod James, defensive tackle Shawn Underwood, cornerback Tim Scott, outside linebacker Christian Russell, defensive tackle Devonte Brown, running back Romar Morris, safety Brandon Ellerbe, safety Darien Rankin, running back Travis Riley, wide receiver Kameron Jackson, defensive end Tyler Alberts, kicker Miller Snyder, and running back Stephen Houston.

January enrollees include, quarterback Marquise Williams, wide receiver T.J. Thorpe, offensive lineman Landon Turner, running back Travis Riley, and defensive tackle Sylvester Williams.

Williams, a dual-threat quarterback out of Charlotte, was one of the most sought after signal-callers in the nation. Listed as the number 10 dual-threat QB in the country according to Rivals.com and the number 12 overall quarterback by Scout.com, Williams threw for 3,034 yards and 45 touchdowns his senior season.

Thorpe, Turner, and Riley all graduated early from high school in order to start their careers in Chapel Hill a semester early, while Sylvester Williams comes to North Carolina by way of Coffeyville Community College in Kansas.

Rivals.com lists Thorpe as the 14th best athlete in the nation, Turner the 13th best offensive tackle, and Riley the 37th best running back.

Williams, who only played one season of high school football before walking on to the team at Coffeyville, earned honorable-mention All-America honors this season and received a high three-star rating from the site. He will have two seasons of eligibility remaining.

So what? Red bovines competed last fall and almost made it to the ACC championship game. Where was your team? I guess your a VT fan. TOB has a way of getting the most out of what he has. Proved that a BC.

don't be so sure you furry little critter. Could be the group that completes their 4 or 5 years without that embarassing loss.

Funny TBK. But the law of averages say the Heels are due soon. And 3 of the last 4 could have gone either way. There still is a spot for you over here on the dark side...
