McDonald undergoes ACL surgery

University of North Carolina men’s basketball guard Leslie McDonald underwent meniscus repair and reconstructive surgery on his right anterior cruciate ligament on Wednesday morning. Team Orthopedist Dr.Alex Creighton performed the surgery at UNC Hospitals, and McDonald’s recovery time is to be determined.

“I’m pleased with how it went this morning,” Creighton said on Wednesday evening. “Everything went well and as we hoped it would. Leslie is doing well and we expect a full recovery.”

McDonald tore his right ACL on July 14 in a summer league game in Durham.

He was second on the UNC team last season with 51 three-point field goals and averaged 7.0 points per game. He scored in double figures 10times last year, including a career-high 17 against Long Beach State.

“I just hate this for Leslie and his family,” UNC head coach Roy Williams said the day after McDonald suffered the injury last month. “He’s worked so hard this off-season and he told me he was really playing well.

We’ll certainly support him as he works to get back on the floor, but we will miss his play on both ends of the court.”

Yep, lost my patience in dealing with trolls like you who are so hypocritical in acting like they really care about a kid, but they really don't, so now gonna go on a call out binge. It's time for some cleansing and I'm just one of the guys to do it. JB will be along as well as others. You post stupidly you get dealt with harshly. Damm hot in the kitchen right now, huh? Go run away and cry in a corner because you got exposed and pawnd.

And you are the ying to the classy yang. Two posts on the same subject mentioning how much you hate Carolina. Again, why post and come across so sarcasticly if you did not mean it as such. What has your hate have to do with his ACL, and two posts about it. Nothing at all. It's like your best wishes are an afterthought to your hate post. Notice some don't believe you, me included. I can see it now, you visit someone in the hospital who is terminally ill, they happen to be a Tar Heel fan, you walk in and say "Hey, you know I really hate Carolina but I hope you get well soon." Sad and pathetic IMHO.

Read your comment really carefully and how it comes across. I am convinced you could care less just by your comment. It is very sarcastic. He's never been found a cheater and what has that got to do with his ACL? That's my problem because you would never say it in public, in a hospital, or to his face unless you want to look a total fool, but hey your a Dookie, insensitivity and callousness at the most inopportune times is the hallmark of many in your fanbase. Why make the comment if you are so disingenuous? BTW, IMHO.

I don't believe that, maybe you can talk yourself it to believing it. You pray for injuries so your wolfpupies can win. You're just a low life SOB in my book. KMOR has more class than you.

    Way to keep it classy.

I hate Carolina, but I never wish injuries on their players or celebrate when they happen.
