Raleigh preparing for NCAA Women's basketball regional

Planning is underway for the 2012 NCAA Women's Basketball Regional, scheduled for March 25-27 at the RBC Center.
N.C. State, the host for the event, has a team working on marketing, operations and event logistics.
A local organizing committee (LOC) is being formed to support N.C. State's efforts. The LOC will focus on hospitality, hotel arrangements, city decor and additional marketing initiatives.
Four teams will travel to Raleigh for "Sweet 16" and "Elite Eight" games, with the winner advancing to the NCAA Women's Final Four in Denver. Raleigh was also a women's regional site in 2002 and 2009.
