Pack's Williams should be ready for Sunday

Posted March 17, 2012

N.C. State guard C.J. Williams should be ready to go when the Wolfpack takes on Georgetown in the NCAA Tournament.

Williams turned his ankle late in the 'Pack's second-round win over San Diego State, but he expects to play against the Hoyas.

The Pack can ill-afford to lose one of its starters, and Williams says while his ankle was a little stiff when he woke up in the morning, it felt fine during practice.

State tends to play a 7-man rotation. Fatigue and foul trouble are always concerns - and an injury to a senior leader would only magnify State's depth issues. But Williams has waited a long time to play on this stage - and I doubt he'll let a stiff ankle keep him from playing in his second NCAA Tournament game.
