POST

The team finally came back home to the DBAP after an eight game road trip. The team traveled up north to take on the IronPigs. I don’t know too much about IronPigs, but I love Ice Pigs! (That is a shout out to my friend Stormy from the Carolina Hurricanes). After splitting the series at two games all, the Bulls traveled back to Rochester and took three games from the Red Wings. Something about that team’s name makes me really mad. Anyway, the Bulls are playing well and things are starting to click for the team.

If you have been living under a rock, Chris Archer one of the Bulls native Carolinians was called up to the Tampa Bay Rays. He made his big league debut the other day and was great. I think it’s that new curve ball I’ve been working on with him. Although I am happy for my friend, I am sad to see him ago. With the open rotation spot, Charlie Montoyo told me to head to my pen and get loose, just in case. I am ready for it, but I told Charlie if I have to play, than he has to entertain the fans for the game. I think he would do pretty well riding around my go-kart.

Exciting things are happening at the DBAP this homestand, Red Panda the acrobat will be here to perform on Saturday. Don’t worry environmentalists it is not a real panda. (We tried to get one, but our groundskeeper did not like the idea of growing bamboo in the outfield). Red Panda is a performance artist who rides a 7ft tall unicycle and throws bowls up in the air and catches them on her head. The best part about it is that I get to be her assistant!

This year at the DBAP you may have noticed some new friends of mine. My “mini Wool E.’s” or “weee Wool. E pals” follow me around and help me cause mayhem on the field. I get to show them around and pull pranks on umpires, opposing players and anyone in our way! I think I might have them stick around after the games and clean my room for me, cook for me and do my bidding. Another new addition to the ballpark is the new groundscrew we had. Apparently they got bored of just sweeping the infield so they decided to take dancing classes during the offseason. So far they have shown their skills to Beat it, Single Ladies and Party Rock Anthem. I wonder what song they will dance to next!

On Monday we will be having another MLB network game at 12:05pm. The country just demanded that they see more Bulls games on national TV so the kind folks at MLB Network had little choice. I will bring my A-game as I get to display my talents to the national stage for the second time this season.

The USA Baseball Prospect Classic is coming to the DBAP on June 29th at 3:05pm and June 30th at 7:05pm. This is must see event for all baseball and Wool E. Bull fans! This showcase has displayed major league talent such as my good friend Tampa Bay Rays ace David Price. After a quick break, the Prospect Classic continues on July 3rd …there’s fireworks after this game to get Independence Day started off right.

Finally, the series of the summer, the Bulls are back to celebrate independence in style. The Bulls take on the Tides on 4th and 5th. Bulls baseball is as American as apple pie. And don’t worry about missing fireworks, we have quite a show in store for you. The Bulls will light up the Durham sky with shows on back-to-back-to-back nights! Okay, I need to get my tuxedo cleaned for Red Panda. Be sure to make it out to the DBAP, fun times are ahead!
