Baseball phenom Harper puts on a show in Tampa
Jun 23, 2009
You may have heard of Bryce Harper - he's the kid that's looking to skip his final two years of high school in order to enroll in junior college and get his MLB baseball career underway ahead of schedule.
If you missed the Sports Illustrated article on this kid, all you need to see is the home run show he put on during the 2009 Power Showcase in Tampa to see what this phenom can do.
Can you say 502 ft? At 16 years old?

He would be skipping his Senior Year. Not his Junior and Senior year.
"In Keith Law's look at the Class of 2010, the wild-card name was Las Vegas High School star Bryce Harper, a 16-year-old catcher who just completed his sophomore year. Harper and his family told the Las Vegas Review-Journal yesterday(Sunday, June 14, 2009) that he's going to take his GED test this fall and has already enrolled at the College of Southern Nevada."
I found the above on ESPN's insider page. Unless I'm reading that incorrectly, he will indeed skip his Junior and Senior years of HS.
