Henderson & Ellington to be summer league teammates
Jul 2, 2009
In a strange twist of fate, former high school teammates Gerald Henderson and Wayne Ellington will play for the Minnesota Timberwolves in the NBA summer league.
Ellington was drafted by the T'wolves but Henderson was selected by Charlotte. The Bobcats will not have a team in the summer league so they found Henderson another team...Minnesota.
Henderson and Ellington remained close after high school despite playing for polar opposite schools, Duke and North Carolina.
Now they will rejoin for a brief time in July before parting ways again to begin their NBA careers.
The 2009 Vegas Summer League runs from July 12th through the 19th.
