A few disgruntled NC State message board illuminati are planning to attend this Saturday's game against Maryland with brown paper bags over their heads. A classic move by fans when they're ashamed of a team. But this is Wuffie nation we're talking about, and a very vocal minority is always willing to make the rest of the fanbase look like a bunch of irrational kooks. James over at YANCSSB makes an excellent point -- the last thing you need to consider doing is donning a paper bag, or any other highly-visible sign of discontent, to this week's football game. Why? Because it'll just be used against your beloved team.
NC State's reputation is still hurting from the exodus of Herb Sendek. National writers just love wagging their fingers at Wolfpack fans, and going as a bag man in protest of Tom O'Brien or Mike Archer simply entrenches the negative perception even further.

Takes a lot of creativity to write a blog based on a few morons that post on the message boards. Reason #500 that I never listen to that fool.But - let's think about it. As a State fan and season ticket holder, am I upset about how the team has performed? In a word - YES! Was I expecting more? YES. I predicted 7-8 wins this year. Instead, we may, MAY get 4. Am I embarrassed that we are giving up more points than our basketball team does? YES!
That being said - I will NOT be wearing anyting other than a tobagin tomorrow as I root the Pack to victory over the hated turtles. If nothing else, the tailgating will be good.

A "few" State fans yapping on a message board prompts WRAL to pen a blog post where NC State supporters are referred to as "Wuffie nation" and these said handfull of fans make the entire fanbase look like "irrational kooks." Nice. Here's some news: Go to any message board for any team in the country and you'll find some people saying stupid things. State is no different.And would you please quit mentioning the ASU coach in NCSU posts! He doesn't work here you know?
