$3 million pair of Air Jordans
Nov 5, 2009
Central Florida lost their $3 million contract with Adidas after Marcus Jordan decided to slip on a pair of his father's shoes. He's got a long way to go to be as good as his father -- Michael was crafty enough to use the American flag to cover up a Reebok logo.
Little MJ says the school was cool with him wearing Nike branded Air Jordan shoes despite UCF having a deal with Adidas. The 3-stripe company was not pleased when a swoosh appeared on the court last night, so Adidas pulled out of the final year of their agreement.
Marcus Jordan deserves to get his share of criticism for going with a rogue pair of shoes. Seriously, if he wanted to wear Nike, just go to a Nike school. However, where is Central Florida's coach in all of this? If the team is wearing Adidas, then he'll have to wear Adidas. Unless somebody is angling for Michael Jordan to drop off a box of free Nike kicks later this week. Too bad dad is busy partyi...uh...helping the Bobcats to notice.
