A listener captured this candid moment between Carolina Hurricanes owner Peter Karmanos and head coach Paul Maurice during Monday's practice. I'm the type of guy who can appreciate humor during difficult times, and it appears both are having a hearty guffaw despite the team being dead last in the Eastern Conference.

"So, Paul. 12 game losing streak, eh?"

"Indeed, Pete. Good times, noodle salad."

"Well, lose on Wednesday and I'll call up Lavs. I'm still paying that guy."

"Ha! Good one Pete. You're a riot."

"Oh, don't you know it."

I'd rather see them laughing, even though I know they're dying on the inside. things HAVE to get better.
