Izzo vs. Roy getting heated?

North Carolina and Michigan St. haven't had very hotly contested games on the court recently, but the off-the-court battle seems to be heating up.

After the Tar Heels' latest rout of the Spartans, Roy Williams talked about Delvon Roe, one of Michigan State's players, and how after Roe's promise he would be going to Carolina, Williams still hasn't seen him at practice despite his looking every day.

Apparently Michigan State head coach Tom Izzo wasn't a fan of Williams' comments, even going so far as to say "he picked the wrong kid, he picked the wrong family and he picked the wrong program. And there’ll be a time. There’ll be a time.”

Well then - even if the score suggests another blowout, you know the next game between these two excellent programs will be a little extra chippy.

Roy's comment regarding Roe might have been a little on the sarcastic side, but that's Roy being Roy. I think Izzo is just sick of Roy taking his lunch money.

Let's see: Roe promises Roy that he is coming to UNC and then backs out. Roy points this out (okay, he pretty much calls him a liar), so Roy is the bad guy for pointing out the fact that Roe has no integrity. Sounds to me like Roe is a liar and Izzo is an enabler. Only in America.

Roy and company have owned this team of late. Period. UNC is a much better and talented team. UNC will win a heckeva bunch of games this year. I saw this against MS.

Delvon Roe picked the right school in the end. We need proven winners at UNC and obviously from the head to head he's shown that he's not one.
