You've heard the saying, a player will run through a brick wall to describe their effort.

In the ACC championship game, Duke's Kyle Singler ran over ESPN broadcaster Dan Shulman. Singler, the tournament's most outstanding player, dove for a loose ball and went head first over press row and into Shulman and Dick Vitale.

Singler got a wide scratch on the back of his right shoulder but the biggest damage came to the metal chair that bent on impact.

I asked Singler after the game when did he realize who he was diving into. "During," he laughed.

That was the highlight of the game for me. I'm not a Singler fan by any means, but if he took out Vitale, I'd be a fan for life.

Why is that???? Dick V loves UNC more than most of you guys, even more than Tim Hall......

Why is this even a story????

This is ridiculous, there needs to be more than 2 feet on the sideline. There is no reason for the press to be right there. I would be very frustrated if I was a player that had to make a play like this. The florida state guy caught the edge of the table in his lower back during the state game...I probably would've yanked the guy's computer and thrown it on the ground

Dickie V is never going to wash that shirt again.
