Gaudio's teleconfernce gets blown up by pranksters
Mar 16, 2010
Dino Gaudio had an 11 a.m. teleconference on Monday to field questions about his first round match-up in the NCAA Tournament. Unfortunately the small group of media didn't really get the chance to ask any questions about Texas, and the group of media listening turned out to be larger than expected.
Some pranksters somehow got a hold of the teleconference number and pass code and created a hurricane from start to finish. Gaudio hung around for all of about two minutes before he told the serious reporter that he would call him personally to speak. Wake's basketball SID Steve Shutts did a good job trying to take names from the actual media members that wanted to talk to Dino......all while the pranksters were wreaking havoc.
Apparently the prankster is a loyal listener to some rock station in the Northwest and his M.O. is to hack into all sorts of conference calls and destroy them. He got Wake's call alright.
I promise I wasn't the one pranking Gaudio. Maybe after the loss to Cleveland State I would've.

Was it the same guy from the Howard Stern show that was pretending to be former Eagle Brian Dawkins on ESPN a couple weeks ago? That was pretty funny. ESPN thought they had Dawkins on the phone and the guy fielded several questions and then ended one of the answers with this line " I look forward to a future of worshipping the prostate of Howard Stern".That was pretty good
