Who's the next "NC State Blame Game" contestant?

NC State and embattled AD Lee Fowler agreed to part ways, resulting in a Wolfpack fan celebration resembling the final scenes of Return of the Jedi. "Yub nub!"

Just like Boston Red Sox fans had to transition from their woe-is-me attitude after winning the World Series, NC State fans have lost a huge part of their identity. Have they officially run out of things to complain about? What will StateFansNation.com devote blog post after blog post to now that their whipping boy is gone?

Come on, this is NC State. As long as North Carolina and Duke keep winning, the vocal minority will always have it out for someone or something. Here are odds on the next target of fan angst.

WRAL/99.9FM The Fan/620 The Buzz - 1:1 odds:  Even money bet, because it's always easy to blame the media.

John Swofford - 3:1 odds: The commissioner of the ACC was North Carolina's athletic director, thus running a vast conspiracy to hold the Wolfpack down. Don't let the Tar Heels' NIT season fool you, it was an elaborate plan to throw everyone off the scent.

NCAA - 8:1 odds: Don't get too good, NC State. "The man" will knock you down just like they did in the 70's and 80's.

Herb Sendek - 25:1 odds: The Arizona State basketball coach stabs NC State in the heart with every win and allows the national media to say "how you like them apples!?"

Erskin Bowles/State Legislature - 50:1 odds: Always approving contracts for North Carolina coaches, but hazy when it comes to NC State hires.

Ron Cherry - 150:1 odds: A history of giving NC State the business.

Naturally, this is for entertainment purposes only.

While I don't normally like Joe O... This is hilarious.

RE: Who's the next

How about Joe O!

RE: Who's the next

Ovaries and Adam Gold are the two reasons why I listen to 101.1 instead of 99.9 on the drive home these days. The only time I will switch back is if Julius Hodge is going to be on, which has been a common occurance lately. Bring Mark & Mike back to the drive-home slot!!!

Bring Mark and Mike back to the drive home slot? You gotta be kidding me. I have been listening to them in the mornings now some and they are not nearly as entertaining as Adam and Joe. In fact, this morning, talking about the AD situation at state, Mark used the word "predecessor" when he meant "successor". Also if a segment lasts more than a couple of minutes, they start repeating the same points over and over.

RE: Who's the next

Here's a question, seriously: Why do fans care so much what sports talk hosts think about their school? Do you think the hosts care what you think of them? By getting so bent out of shape over what Adam and Joe think, you prove their point about how crazy State fans can be.

Oh, and not that they care what I think, The Insiders need to hit the road. Their show is awful.

RE: Who's the next

Yes, I cringe when i hear Mark speak but he doesn't continue to poke at UNC like Adam and Joe do to State. THeir shows stinks so in order to get people to listen, they have to flame away to create a reaction out of us State fans. You only need to read the last two articles posted on here by Ovies to get my point.
