Josh Hamilton voted to start All-Star Game

Josh Hamilton is an all-star for the third time.
The Raleigh native was voted start in the outfield for the American League.
Hamilton had an amazing June for the Texas Rangers. He set the franchise record for hits in a month with 49. On June 27, Hamilton blasted a 490-foot home run, the longest in the history of the Rangers Ballpark in Arlington.
Hamilton is batting .340 with 19 homers and 59 RBI, which puts in the top five of the AL in each category.
Hamilton has said he will not participate in this year’s Home Run Derby.
The 2010 MLB All-Star Game takes place July 13 in Anaheim.

I'm happy to see Hamilton enjoying success. He's had such ups and downs in his life and career. He's a hard worker and has overcome so much adversity. I'm glad to see him get voted into the All-Star Game. I loved seeing him in the Home Run Derby.

Awesome news. 2009 was frustrating for him after such a breakout in 2008. Good to see him show it wasn't a fluke....

Hamilton is ripping it up. He is the favorite IMO for AL MVP as of right now
