NCAA not considering NFL rookie suspensions

Multiple sources have said that a suspension, in addition to financial penalties, had been discussed by the NCAA panel but that does not seem to be the case. The NCAA said Wednesday that "NFL player suspensions are not currently under consideration".

So everyone that was getting excited or worried about some of those players who had been suspended due to NCAA infractions possibly being suspended into NFL play can forget about it. Marvin Austin shouldn't enter the NFL draft with an asterisk next to his name saying he comes with a four or five game suspension he'll have to serve before he can play.

RE: NCAA not considering NFL rookie suspensions

I think Austin should be the #1 draft pick next year. He should be rewarded for bringing Carolina under the microscope. We've been saying that for years, and called whiners for it. Now we're getting our vindication! ;)

RE: NCAA not considering NFL rookie suspensions

The NFL doesn't care about the NCAA, they just want their $$$. He, and all the others who get caught for this kind of stuff, should be banned from being drafted by the NFL for at least a year.

RE: NCAA not considering NFL rookie suspensions

Of course they won't suspend the players. That would lead to the players spilling the beans on the agents who were hooking them up. The NFL isn't going to punish the agents.

RE: NCAA not considering NFL rookie suspensions

There will be a time when enough of the cheaters will have to be called to the carpet. People like Austin doesn't care about his college career, if he can get drafted and make his millions. This is wrong. He and all others should be pentalized. Pink is his true color.

I read this one earlier this week. I am in agreement woth this. It would cause a fat cat like Austin to stop and re-think his stupid acts. He looks like a fat puck. I hope he falls far from the 5th round.
