The 2011 NHL All-Star Game countdown has officially begun.
The Carolina Hurricanes played their first game at the RBC Center Wednesday, the same day that a number of banners advertising the Jan. 28-30 weekend were put up on the grounds.
The Canes were shut out by the Washington Capitals in their home debut, 3-0, but seeing Eric Staal and Alexander Ovechkin on the RBC Center ice was a nice reminder of things to come.
