Hurricanes & Bobcats "venue swap"
May 6, 2011
From the department of "What Took So Long," a couple of North Carolina professional teams will trade places during the preseason.
According to the SportsBusiness Journal, the Carolina Hurricanes and the Charlotte Bobcats scheduled a “building swap” for this fall. The Bobcats will play the Miami Heat Oct. 19 at RBC Center, while the Canes will play the Atlanta Thrashers Sept. 25 at Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte.
Slight problem, though. That whole NBA lockout thing that could wipe out a portion of the season. Let's hope David Stern hammers out an agreement so the "Heatles" make it to town.

Why would you get free tickets? There are STH's that live well outside of Raleigh to attend games at the RBC Center. You aren't losing a pre-season game it is just being played in a different place. Why would you wanna see the Bobcats anyway?
He wants to see Lebron and Co.
Come on. If this happens I bet the RBC is packed that night. However, I don't think it will even happen due to the lockout.

Charlotte has a very good Hurricanes farm team and South Carolina is part of the market. It makes sense to play where people from the Charlotte area and South Carolina can see their team too. The same for the Bobcats and Raleigh.RE: Hurricanes & Bobcats
Why do people even make a statement that they don't care. Why? I pull for both teams. It's great for our State. It brings in money, and I like to watch and go see them in action on occasion. If you don't care; then I don't care if you comment.RE: Hurricanes & Bobcats
