Tom O'Brien is as subtle as a hammer
Aug 4, 2011
It's August. It's hot. Temperatures hitting triple digits has become routine. And so has Tom O'Brien's annual push for NC State to build an indoor practice facility.
"We were lucky today with the cloud cover," O'Brien said to reporters. "If we had an air-conditioned indoor facility, we could go in there and practice and we wouldn't have that problem. We're the only the Triangle, now that won't have one."
O'Brien isn't the first coach to lament the lack of indoor facilities for the Wolfpack. Former coach Chuck Amato pushed for practice upgrades after Carter-Finley Stadium had completed major renovations.

- Posted by TruthBKnown Left The BuildingState fans are too preoccupied with what's going on in Chapel Hill to worry about their own program. They could care less about making their program better. Think if they spent all the time and energy generating funds that they spend worry about UNC. They'd have that indoor practice facility.- Posted by TarHeels 23
Um, I think this was about OUR program's need for an indoor facility.
Leave it to a Carolina fan to make this about Carolina simply because TOB pointed out that other area schools HAVE indoor facilities and we don't.
And we're the top program in the state over the last decade. One would think we would have an indoor facility.
Wrong again, family guy. Missing the point seems to be easy for you.
If, in fact, you are the top program in the state, for a decade and you have the most rabid fans, as you claim, where is the support for the program, other than in tailgating and Internet bulletin board.
In other words, if everything you claim is true about Moo u and the fan base, why are you the only school without that facility.
Maybe because your words are greater than your action....
Holla

I agree...quit whining publicly an address your concerns privately to boosters and administrators. One of the reasons I've never been a big TOB fan
Agreed.
