— Cam Ward will start Monday in goal for the Carolina Hurricanes. Forward Radek Dvorak also returns to the lineup, recovering from a lower-body injury suffered versus the Avalanche Nov. 12.

Ward, out since Oct. 24, will step in for Justin Peters who was more than serviceable in goal, posting a 1.16 goals against average while stopping 138 of 144 shots.

The Canes will be without two key pieces – Alexander Semin, who was expected to undergo tests Monday afternoon, and Jeff Skinner, who skated in practice but won't see game action.

If by 'more than serviceable' you mean better than Ward, then yes I'd agree

This could be one ugly game.

Peters is doing just fine...they need to start him and let Cam play just a little to see how he does. I'm not optimistic as history indicates that it takes him a long time to get back into playing shape.
