Warren will return to NC State

North Carolina State forward T.J. Warren will return for his sophomore season, he confirmed to WRAL News Wednesday.

“I will be back,” Warren said. “I love NC State! It’s just something about this place.”

The 6-foot-8 Durham native appeared in all 35 games for the Wolfpack last season, starting in 14. He averaged 12.1 points and 4.2 rebounds per game as a freshman while seeing better than 27 minutes per contest. He was also second on the team with 42 steals.

Warren also took to twitter on Wednesday afternoon saying "Excited for the future #packnation".

Warren will be just one of three players on the Wolfpack roster next year to have started a game in 2012-13 and the only player to have started more than two. Guard Tyler Lewis started two games last year and center Jordan Vandenberg started once.

Since NC State’s season ended in their tournament opener to Temple, the Pack have lost Richard Howell and Scott Wood to graduation, Lorenzo Brown and Calvin Leslie to the NBA Draft and Rodney Purvis to a transfer.

Seasons come and seasons go....so do the players. NC State will probably do as well next year as they did this.

I'm sure there will be a lot of chatter when the decisions of JMM, Hairston, and Bullock are made public.

I think the NCAA may be sidetracked by the grade changes that were discovered at Auburn in 2011 involving their football team.

Totally agree. It's all about listeners = ratings and mouse clicks = revenue. These guys are paid to stir the pot.

Nobody other than Kane, his boss, and FackPride members care anymore.

Any player that can come in as a freshman into the ACC, and average 12.1 ppg, 4.2 rebs, and have 42 steals is as good as any that I've seen. His points alone helped State win several games. He will be a force next season if he works in the weight room. Glad he made this decision.

What I do know is both of your post above are FAILS. You know nothing about Purvis/Gottfried/Brown/Leslie relationship unless you have met with them during these decisions. When you guess at something and dismiss someone else guess, it's really quite hypocritical.

Same? #3 in the conference, ACC tourney finalist, and made it to the second round of the NCAA's. And this was considered a down year for UNC.
