Wood, Kastanek to participate in 3-point contest

Raleigh, N.C. — North Carolina State’s Scott Wood and Marissa Kastanek have been named as participants in this year’s State Farm Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championship.
This year marks the 25th annual edition of the event that will take place at Georgia Tech’s McCamish Pavilion on April 4.
Wood made a school-record 334 threes in his four-year career with the Wolfpack shooting 41.3 percent from long range during that span. This past season, Wood shot 44.1 percent while averaging three triples per game.
In the ACC Tournament, Wood hit a career-high seven 3-pointers against Virginia, the most by an NC State player in a tournament game. He closed his career with 1,467 points scored.
Kastanek, also a senior, made 69 three-pointers this year and has amassed 240 for her career which places her second in program history. An All-ACC first-teamer this year, Kastanek closed her career with 1,655 points.
The event will be televised live on ESPN at 7 p.m. on April 4.
