WTEN: Wolfpack Rebounds on Day Two at Tennessee Fall Invite

— The NC State women's tennis team won a pair of matches on day two of the Tennessee Fall Invite at the Goodfriend Tennis Center on Saturday. Wolfpack junior Nicole Martinez was victorious in her singles match, while senior Joelle Kissell and sophomore Rachael James-Baker teamed together to notch a doubles win.

Martinez defeated Kirsten Lewis of Kentucky, 6-2, 6-1 to earn State's second singles victory of the weekend. Liza Fieldsend, who won her singles match on Friday, fell to Edmee Morin-Kougoucheff by the score of 6-2, 5-7, 7-6 (5), while James-Baker lost a tough, three-set match to Kentucky's Kelsey Dieters, 6-2, 2-6, 6-4.

In doubles action, Kissell and James-Baker claimed victory over Brittany Lindl and Laurence Guevremont of Tennessee, 8-6 to earn the Wolfpack's first doubles win of the tournament. The No. 57 ranked doubles pair of Caitlyn Williams and Joanna Henderson of Tennessee defeated Martinez and Taylor Zaytoun, 8-1 in their match.

Play will conclude tomorrow as NC State takes on Ohio State in singles first at 10 a.m., before taking on Kentucky in doubles play at 1 p.m.
