XC: Gambill, O'Hea Run Three Stripe Invite for UNC

Cary, N.C. — Tar Heel newcomers Macon Gambill and Caroline O’Hea competed at the 2012 Three Stripe Invitational hosted by NC State at the WakeMed Cross Country Course.
O’Hea ran the 5K in a new personal best of 19:42 to place 20th. Gambill ran his 5K in 15:38 to place 12th.
UNC track and field mid-distance runner Mike Jacobs also ran the event, placing sixth in 15:18.
Carolina cross country will be in full force at the NCAA Southeast Regional in Charlotte, N.C., next Friday. Keep up-to-date at GoHeels.com for all post-season news.
